[edit] Workflow Documentation
The MyMobileWorkers application allows customisation of the android application to suit your companies usage. We can match your current paper worksheets onto the device whilst requiring the minimal amount of development to achieve it.
We call the concept of your custom made job sheet a 'workflow'.
Each workflow is a document that contains the following information
- All the screens in your job
- The order of these screens
- Some settings that changes how the device reacts to loading your workflow
- The core job data that every job must contain
- Any other custom job data your workflow may collect along the way
You can have as many workflows as you want and each one can be a little bit different or a lot. These documentation pages serve has a manual on how to build your own workflow. Once you have a workflow setup you can create as many jobs as you want from it, the workflow can be reused over and over.
[edit] Screens
A screen is how we declare bits of functionality on the device. Each screen is a 'page' on the device for your workflow. There are two main types of screen which you can use when building your workflow.
[edit] Preset Screens
These are screens the MyMobileWorkers team provide to make your life easy, they provide core bits of functionality you can bring into your workflow, things like signature screens, photo managers and job summary's are examples of these preset screens.
Each screen has its own documentation page and options that affect how its loaded, these preset screens are here to save you time reinventing the wheel. Include them in your workflow, make some minor changes via the screens attributes and move on to the next
[edit] Dynamic Screens
Dyanmic screens operate in much the same way as the preset screens however they are more of a blank canvas. Using one of the templates for building dynamic screens allows you to add your own fields and customise the data you display / collect as part of the workflow
[edit]
When each screen is defined you get to set its place in your workflow, how to order your screens is covered in the documentation here TODO
[edit] Workflow Attributes
At the very top of your workflow are some settings which the device uses to decide how to display the job. These top level attributes can be used to modify things like the alert noise when the job is downloaded to the device, the way it looks in the jobs list and if top level features are enabled, for example attachments for the job.
A list of attributes and their function can be viewed here Workflow Attributes
