[edit] Bulk pasting items
This feature allows the bulk import of items from an excel or open office document using the copy and paste feature.
[edit] Step 1 - Prepare the document
For the feature to work correctly the columns of data must be in the following order
Name - Type - Quantity - Notes
Type can be "collection" or "delivery", if something other than these two values is found the field will default to "delivery". Quantity must be a numeric field.
[edit] Step 2 - Copy the data from the document
Select the items you wish to copy, make sure you do not include any headers, extra columns or blank rows. Copy the information onto your clipboard (Ctrl-C or Right click and select "Copy")
[edit] Step 3 - Open the import tool
On the create job page in the MyMobileWorkers portal click the following icon, it is located on the right side of the page in the job items section. (PODC Only)
[edit] Step 4 - Paste your data into the tool
Click on the area that says "Paste items here.." and either press Ctrl-V or Right click and paste. If the item data has been correctly copied the item data will display below. If the clipboard data is incompatible then an error will be displayed.
[edit] Step 5 - Review data before saving
At this point you can review any of the items and if required remove them by clicking the "X" icon on the corner of each item. If you are happy with the item data that has been processed hit save to have them added to the job.
